PLACES TO FIND PERSONAL INJURY ATTORNEYS IN SAN DIEGO

So where is the best place to find an attorney? If you don't a San Diego personal injury attorney or don't know anyone who has had experience with one (a positive experience) then you need to do some research. You see commercials on TV all the time here in San Diego. Some of the TV advertisers I've seen here in San Diego include Pacific Law Center, Liberty Lawyers (they only do criminal defense) and some other occasional commercials from attorneys I can't even remember. There's yellow pages of course but many of the first advertisements you see for attorneys are actually attorneys who aren't even in the San Diego area. It shouldn't be that way, but it is. There are extensive attorney networks so many times attorneys you see listed will actually just refer the case out to a local San Diego attorney. Yellow pages are not the best place to find an attorney because you really can't find very much information on the lawyers listed. A sentence here or there and that's it. The web can be a good place to find info but not all lawyers have a website or at least one that can be found. If you type in "San Diego personal injury lawyer" in Google, Yahoo or MSN you're going to see most of the same attorneys come up in the top 20 search results. But just because they're ranked high in a search engine does not make them a good personal injury attorney, it must means they're good advertisers. You really need to find out what kind of experience that have, and give them a call. Talk to them, ask questions (I'll cover that in a future post) and find out if that attorney is for you.

We see advertisements for lawyers everywhere we go these days. In the past, attorneys weren't allowed to advertise but now they are. I think it's a good thing since most people don't personally know an attorney. If you need to hire a personal injury attorney , how do you go about choosing the right lawyer to handle your case? There are literally thousands of attorneys in California alone so there are plenty to choose from. But how do you know an attorney is a good personal injury lawyer? "Scoreboard baby". What does that mean? Past results. Say you've been injured in a car accident, and the accident was caused by someone else. You want to hire an attorney specializing in auto accidents right? My point is you don't want an employment attorney or lemon law attorney handling your case if that's not the focus of their practice. You don't go to a Mexican restaurant and order a hamburger do you? I think I actually did that once....but it was 2:30am and I was starving and drunk...another story. Back to my point, you want someone who specializes in that area of the law (personal injury) handling your case because past experience handling these cases will help them to potentially recover more damages than someone without the experience may be able to. Don't be afraid to call around to multiple attorneys until you find one you like.
